To Whom It May Concern,
I have known Miss XXXXX for approximately six years with five of those years her being a valued employee in my Company. XXXX is quite possibly the most intelligent, scholastically orientated and generally motivated person that I have ever employed or met. She is able to handle a full school schedule, a bevy of extra-curricular activities and hold down a part-time job, all with time to spare to have fun with family and friends. She excels not only in school, sports and music, but is very socially adjusted and well liked by her peers, fellow employees and myself. I have complete trust in Miss XXXX to accomplish any activity or work task on time and with enthusiasm. She has on numerous occasions been left alone to run my entire store, including handling customers, younger staff members and money. She is very friendly, outgoing and possesses a drive that is rarely seen in a teenager. She always does and gives more that she has or needs to.
XXXX lives each day with a strong sense of family values and is not afraid to make her opinion heard if she feels someone has been wronged. She is the youngest member of a very caring, loving and respectful family and these qualities are evident in her laughing eyes and beaming smile. I can think of no better candidate for The Miller Thomson Foundation Scholarship than XXXX XXXX. She embodies everything that the Scholarship promotes and as the recipient of the award would empower other students to test their own limits as she has done on a regular basis.
I feel that the Committee would be making a grave error in not awarding this Scholarship to XXXX XXXX. She absolutely deserves it.
Yours in Good Faith
XXXXX
